Abstract

Excess enthalpies have been measured at 293.15 K for 1,4-dioxan + benzene, 1,4-dioxan + toluene, 1,4-dioxan + carbon tetrachloride and 1,4-dioxan + carbon disulphide and at 300.00 K for 1,4-dioxan + cyclohexane. The data have been examined on the basis of Barker's theory. Interaction energies between the components have been determined and have been used to explain the nature of the interactions between the components.
