Abstract

The excess molar enthalpies H m E{ xC 2H 5NO 2 + (1 − x) c-C 6H 12} have been measured at five temperatures (298.149, 297.151 5, 297.149 5, 296.771, and 296.592 K) above, and at one temperature (296.153 K) below, the (liquid + liquid) critical temperature (about 296.47 K) at constant atmospheric pressure with an isothermal dilution calorimeter. The (liquid + liquid) critical temperature was calculated from the measured consulate temperature of each isotherm. Below the (liquid + liquid) critical temperature, in the two-phase region, the excess molar enthalpy shows a linear dependence on x.
