Abstract

Polyaniline (PANI) nanosheet wrapped TiO2 nanotube arrays photoelectrode (PANI/TiO2) was prepared by simple anodic oxidation method followed with a vacuum assisted impregnation. The PANI nanosheets are tightly coated on TiO2 nanotubes with higher photo-response and superior charge separation efficiency than TiO2. The photocurrent density of PANI/TiO2-0.1 is 0.73 times higher than that of TiO2. The PEC degradation activity of phenol over PANI/TiO2-0.1 is 27.7% higher than that of TiO2. Synergetic effect of photocatalysis and electrocatalysis on PANI/TiO2 photoelectrode was created.
