Abstract

Here, by a proper design of chemical composition to provide a guarantee of excellent conductivity and high enough strength, a new dilute Cu-Cr-Zr alloy is developed. The alloy, after two-stage heavy cold rolling and subsequent aging, consists of high-density coherent or semi-coherent nanoprecipitates and exhibits a yield strength of over 600 MPa, uniform elongation about 9.0%, and conductivity about 90% IACS.
