Abstract

This paper surveys and critically evaluates the literature on methods used in assessing the quality of financial services in the field of insurance coverage. The paper presents the methodological assumptions of SERVQUAL and fuzzy SERVQUAL methods. The usefulness of these methods for assessing the quality of services provided by entities from the insurance sector (taking into account the expectations of customers and service providers) was also demonstrated, on the example of insurers from Greece, Malaysia, Iran, Poland and India, using specialized software SPSS (versions 11.5 and 21), SmartPLS and LISREL 8.7 statistical package.
