Abstract
A further example in a cervicovaginal smear of a structure with the morphological features of an unfertilized human ovum is reported. Previously published case reports of similar objects are reviewed, and alternative sources of bodies which could be incorrectly identified as ova are discussed together with suggested methods of establishing precise identity.
