Abstract

Text readability has an important role in text drafting and document selecting. Researches on the readability of the text have been made long ago for English and some common languages. There are few studies in Vietnamese text readability and most of them are performed from more than two decades ago on very small corpora. Most of the studies in text readability have few mentions of the impact of the text length in evaluating the text. This paper presents our works on examining the role of text length in assessing the readability. The experiment results show that the features related to the text length have a huge impact on Vietnamese text readability assessment for textbooks.
