Abstract

Family relationships are the foundation of society. They provide us with love, support, and a sense of belonging. However, family relationships can also be fragile. They can be strained by conflict, abuse, and neglect. In Pakistan, where traditional family values are strong, there is a growing concern about the breakdown of family relationships. Union councils (UCs) are local government bodies that have been given a mandate to safeguard family relationships. They are responsible for resolving family disputes, providing mediation services, and promoting awareness of family laws.
