Abstract
Abstract The study aimed to examine the effect of transformational and transactional leadership on employees' innovative work behaviour. To broaden the concept and understanding of the study, the literature was reviewed. The study used an assessment and correlational research design and therefore, a weighted mean was used to assess the level of transformational and transactional leadership styles, while the ANOVA was used to measure the correlation between leadership styles and innovative work behaviour of the employees. The population of the study was the administrators and employees of the Divine Word College of Laoag. The questionnaires were used to gather the data. The study found that administrators' transformational and transactional leadership styles are high but not very high. There is a significant correlation between transformational and transactional leadership styles and the employees' innovative work behaviour. Both leadership have a significant effect on the innovative work behaviour of the employees. Therefore, the hypothesis of the study is accepted.
