Abstract

This article examines the effectiveness of a drug treatment program. Research suggests that drug courts can promote positive outcomes. This perspective piece examines the effectiveness of drug courts in promoting a reduction in recidivism and promoting positive outcomes. The need to match court resources with the needs of the offenders is discussed. The employment needs of the offenders is an important consideration.
