Abstract
Abstract The fiber materials are added in concrete and made it as a fiber reinforced concrete. the fibers may accessible in various kinds, for example, natural fibers, synthetic fibers, steel filaments, glass strands. The characteristics of fiber reinforced concrete is varies with the fibers, its orientation and geometries. Fibers in cement are oppose the breaks created in solid structures. The basic quality of the solid can be acquired by steel fibers. The requirement of steel reinforcement is reduced. The research work is providing for the use of steel fibers and silica fume. There are numerous trial concentrates on compressive and elasticity of high quality light weight concrete by adding of silica rage. It is proposed in the current task work to Compare the mechanical properties compressive quality, functionality and split elasticity of high quality cement with and without fiber and high quality fiber strengthened cement with silica rage. Blends are ready for M50 grade concrete. The different proportions of fibers added are 0.5%, 1%, 1.5%, 2% and 2.5%. The silica fume is replaced by 8% by the volume of cement in every mix. The results from the above experimental study will be compared and conclusions are drawn on the advantages of promoting FRC in construction.
