Abstract

In this study we examine the cumulative effect of dust acting as cloud nucleating aerosol (cloud condensation nuclei (CCN), giant cloud condensation nuclei (GCCN), and ice nuclei (IN)) over the entire Colorado Rocky Mountains for the months of mid-February to mid-April in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008. These four consecutive seasons provide a range of seasonal conditions, snowfall totals and variability in dust.
