Abstract

We examine a mechanism for the pairing of holes in the superconducting state of the high- T c materials, employing the “effective” van der Waals interaction scheme. Using the conventional perturbation technique, fluctuation of effective oxygen charge felt by the farther hole and inter-oxygen distance has been estimated for emerging definitely attractive coupling interaction between two holes.
