The expert has to evaluate the actual status of palsy at the time of examination and also to consider prognostic outcome. The Austrian private accident insurance covers the risk of injuries caused by an accident. Accident according to the meaning of the insurance is a term of wide comprehension including facial palsy due to tick bite. First of all accidental dysfunctions are covered by the insurance. However, the insurance also offers restricted coverage concerning aesthetic consequences as a result of dysfunction.
