Abstract

Direct examination of the clinical material is the simple end most helpful procedure for the laboratory diagnosis of fungal infection. Its also include histopathological examination important step for the diagnosis of subcutaneous and deep-sealect fungal infection. The choice of appropriate method (unstained wet-mount preparations or stained smears) depends of the type of mycosis and the site of infection. Direct examination assume often alone the therapy of fungal infection.
