Abstract

A one-dimensional supersymmetric tz. sbnd; Jz. sbnd;type model is studied which permits the exact solution in the form of the Gutzwiller wave function. The model realizes a Fermi-liquid state with a discontinuity in the momentum distribution. It is found that the size-dependence of spin and charge susceptibilities enters only through the size-dependent transfer energy. A set of excited states which includes both spin and charge excitations is identified by the variational Monte Carlo method in which eigenstates show no fluctuations of energy.
