Abstract

Equations of motion for the modes of the NSR superstring are derived from the analog of the exact renormalization group. We discuss in what sense the operator product algebra respects the GSO projection. One-loop corrections are described by means of handle operators, and the absence of singularities from integrations over the moduli implies the absence of tadpole contributions to the equations of motion. Self-energy corrections for off-shell/massive modes do, however, appear, and we discuss the consistency of the resulting S-matrix elements with non-renormalization theorems.
