Abstract
A method is described for least squares fitting of gamma ray angular distributions to theoretical formulae in which a number of linear parameters vary freely between defined limits. (These linear parameters correspond to the relative populations of the initial nucleus' magnetic substates.) The method is readily programmed for a small computer.
