Abstract

1. An exact equation for the kinetics of adsorption was obtained for particles of spherical form and linear isotherm in the case of a finite rate of surface mass exchange. 2. Approximate equations of kinetics were found which hold true for small and large times. For sufficiently large times, from the exact equation follows the known approximate equation for linear kinetics, in which the inverted value of the coefficient of the rate of mass exact equation follows the known approximate equation for linear kinetics, in which the inverted value of the coefficient of the rate of mass exchange, in agreement with the ideas stated earlier, can be presented in the form of a sum of the inverted values of the coefficients of the rates of internal and surface mass exchange for the particle.
