Abstract
We theoretically and numerically study the evolution properties of a hypergeometric-Gaussian type-II (HyGG-II) beam in strongly nonlocal nonlinear media (SNNM). The properties of the intensity distribution and beam width of the HyGG-II beam in SNNM are investigated in detail. The results show that the intensity distribution of the HyGG-II beam takes on a periodical change, while the beam width of the HyGG-II beam in SNNM varies periodically or keeps invariant, depending on the input power. The effects of optical parameter and input power on the evolution properties of the HyGG-II beam are also illustrated graphically.
