Abstract

Abstract Recently, we have proposed s+g-wave superconductor in order to describe unusual superconductivity in borocarbides YNi 2 B 2 C and LuNi 2 B 2 C. Here we consider the effect of impurity scattering in the s+g-wave superconductors. The impurity scattering is studied within Born approximation. We find that the quasiparticle density of states is extremely sensitive to the small impurity scattering.
