Abstract

Abstract Measurements of tan δ have been carried out with a free oscillation pendulum on various PMMA samples after their quenching from temperatures included between 50 and 150°C. In all the cases tan δ undergoes an important increase which diminishes rapidly even at room temperature. Quenched PMMA ages at room temperature and may be partially deaged at temperature lower than its glass transition.
