Abstract
At the modern stage of development of the domestic economy, rising the role and importance of the customs bodies activity of the Russian Federation as a regulator of foreign economic relations, in the process of stabilizing the financial system and modernization of the national economic model in general. Multi nature of the activities of national customs authorities satisfy multiple interests and needs of the state and brings together a wide range of issues of political, legal, economic, public and social nature, affecting foreign trade. Russian customs service's success depends on many factors, significant place among which takes the efficient management. Approaches to improve the management system of the customs authorities of the Russian Federation, presented in this article will contribute to not only enhance the effectiveness of their activities, which has a positive effect on foreign and domestic policy of the country, but will also promote qualitative and rapid transition to an innovative path of the domestic economy development.
