Abstract

This article analyzes in a formal-dogmatic manner legal acts regulating the functioning of the area of the Luhansk Oblast of Ukraine and the Luhansk People’s Republic established on it in the years 2014-2022. The analysis is done in the context of the people’s armed uprising of 2014 and the subsequent proclamation of the LPR and organizational changes within the LPR, as well as attempts to resolve the conflict through peace negotiations in Minsk. In the article, the author carefully reviews the legal acts and UN resolutions regarding the conflict in the Luhansk Oblast and compares the legal standing of 2014 with the legal status at the end of 2022 in an in-depth way, noticing the changes that have taken place in the constitutional system and the international legal position of the Luhansk People’s Republic in the analyzed period.
