Evolution of Computer Network from Inception to the Internet of Everything: An Overview

Abstract

A computer network, built on the need for military communication by the defense department, has developed into the internet and had a tremendous effect on businesses, companies, communities, and day-to-day activities. The development of the computer network has only altered the perceived usefulness of the computing system but has also contributed to significant improvement in several commercial applications. Recent developments in groundbreaking information and communication technology (ICT) technologies have since had a major influence on global economies. Premising on comprehensive literature review, this paper aims to review the development of computer networks over the years and also discuss the evolution of Internet of Everything (loE) and the impacts on human development.
