Abstract

This paper offers an analytical solution to the temperature distribution problem in a one-dimensional current-carrying conductor. The proposed solution is compared to the numerical solution obtained with the finite-element method. When considering the temperature distribution evolution problem in current-carrying systems, a real system has been replaced with a system of one-dimensional current-carrying conductors and concentrated contact resistances.
