Abstract
Abstract In the Aiglepierre half-window in the outer Jura mountains, France, Triassic deposits of the Salins and Mont-Poupet groups rest on a substratum of upper Jurassic and Tertiary deposits. This substratum shows two erosion surfaces, distinct from the post-nappe surface which truncates the thrust slices of the overthrust area. With these surfaces and the Tertiary deposits as horizon markers, it is possible to trace a wave of Oligo-Miocene uplift which was propagated eastward toward the interior of the Juras.
