Abstract

In article number 2200475, Qing Liu and co-workers show the inclusion evolution during the continuous casting process of the 55SiCrA spring steel. The primary inclusions are CaO-Al2O3-SiO2-MgO inclusions. The [Si], [Al], and [Mg] reacted with [O] because of the secondary oxidation and the temperature decline, increasing the amount of SiO2, Al2O3, and MgO in oxide inclusions. The melting point of inclusions increased.
