Abstract

Evolution in the Structure of Consumption in Poland. The author furnishes the first estimates of the general level of per capita consumption in Poland, evaluated in US dollars; following this, he gives indications concerning the structure of consumption from a dynamic as well as a static point of view and he also compares the evolution of Polish consumption before and after the Second World War. Methodological problems are raised, namely concerning statistics which have the advantage of being devoid of monetary signification, indicators in physical units being easier to manipulate for use in international comparisons.
