Abstract

The relation family-school is the ideal context to promote the resources, the facilities and the proposals to forward a successful educational actions. This paper depicts the longitudinal study’s findings of the “Building Everyday Life: positive parenting progamme” to families with children of 0-12 years old. It was run at Principality of Asturias (Spain) from 2011 year, to improve the family dynamics and to face the daily life tasks in a successful way. It was made contact with the participating parents at schools where the programme was carried out, via email or telephone, to evaluate the programme’s effects along these years period, likewise to know the most significative memories and the current training needs of the parent participants. The longitudinal analysis reveals an improvement in family educative guides and resources at the end of the programme, and there is a big drop at the moment. The families refer training needs regards to development stage change, to lifelong learning and in the issues related with the educational counseling and guidance. At present, there is a demand to develop parental education programmes based in the evidences and, being part of the families’ vital projects.
