Abstract

Photomicrography by a water-immersion lens system, of the fruiting bodies of Myxococcus fulvus and Chondrococcus cirrhosus, and by phase-contrast, of submerged fruiting bodies in the former, shows no wall, capsule or other limiting structure in either case.
