Abstract

Doping dependence of the Hall coefficient (RH) is presented for La1.4-x Nd0.6SrxCuO4 in the spin-charge stripe ordered phase. For x≤l/8, a remarkable decrease in the magnitude of RHat low temperatures provides evidence for one-dimensional charge transport. For x>l/8, the RH remains relatively large in the stripe ordered phase. The results indicate a crossover from one- to two- dimensional charge transport taking place at x=l/8. Zn-substitution for Cu recovers the large values of RH, indicating that disorder caused by Zn-substitution in the stripe ordered phase is destructive of one-dimensional charge transport.
