Abstract

Roelofs and Arn (1968) identified the sex pheromone of redbanded leafroller moths (RBLR), Argyrotacnia velutinana (Walker) as cis -11-tetradecenyl acetate and named it RiBLuRe. Roelofs and Comeau (1968, 1971) demonstrated that certain compounds could modify the response of RBLR males to RiBLuRe in the field. We report here an experiment in which dosage-response curves were obtained for synthetic RiBLuRe and crude extract of female glands and these were compared on the basis of RiBLuRe content.
