Abstract

Biliverdin dimethyl ester has been found to give different crystals depending on the solvent from which it is crystallized. It is concluded, based on IR and Raman data, that his polymorphism is attributable to the coexistence of different diastereoisomeric bishelical dimers in the crystal lattice.
