Abstract

Two high altitude balloon flights from Parkes, NSW, have produced evidence for a point source of high energy gamma rays (above 50 MeV) from a point source in Sagittarius. The flights did not confirm the band source of gamma rays reported by Clark, Garmire and Kraushaar last year.
