Abstract

Ameloblastoma has remained a challenge for oral surgeons. Ameloblastoma has been defined by different authors as malignant, locally and clinically malignant and benign. The slow growing nature yet its infiltrative tendency with distant metastasis make its treatment options controversial. With this in mind, a retrospective and prospective study was planned. This paper reports the cases of ameloblastoma treated over the last 10 years and its treatment outcomes. It includes the histopathological examination of the resected specimen to check the infiltrative potential of various types of ameloblastoma.
