Abstract

In daily plastic surgery practise, patient education is of great importance. Computer-based patient education can be a helpful tool, as we described in this journal in 2004. In this paper, we describe the key elements of building effective computer-based patient education programs, based on the existing literature. We hope that plastic surgeons will use this paper as a guide in developing an education program for their own practise.
