Abstract
Abstract AMS2750E describes the testing of Pyrometry on Industrial Ovens, furnaces and other thermal processing equipment and related instruments. Products which are heat treated through thermal processing equipment cannot be individually verified for conformance without destructive testing. Samples representing the hardware being processed are typically distributed throughout the production load and destructively tested post cycle. Some processes do not utilize samples as the process is stable enough or the thermal process has no need for testing. Ensuring stable and repeatable process parameters within the thermal processing equipment is imperative to ensure results of the heat treatment are conforming. This is done through Pyrometry. Pyrometry gains industry acceptance and conformance through AMS2750E. This specification covers all aspects of pyrometry.
