Abstract
The Army Corps of Engineers unveiled a nearly 2000‐page blueprint last month to reinvigorate hydrological conditions in the South Florida Everglades. If the most ambitious of the six recommended options is carried out, the plan would be the largest environmental restoration project ever undertaken. The plan would attempt to restore one of the world's most biologically vital marshes to its glory days, before the arrival of urban sprawl and agricultural industrialization. Although the Corps did not officially sanction any of the six options, the plan would seek to redirect water flow in South Florida.
