Abstract
X number of electroencephalographic (EEG) studies report on motor event-related desynchronization and synchronization (ERD/ERS) in the mu band or beta band, i.e. a decrease and increase of spectral amplitudes of central mu rhythms or beta rhythms. This paper investigated event-related EEG-changes during attempted standing up. The aim of this work is to address the question, whether healthy subjects have particular ERD/ERS pattern during standing up imagery tasks. The results showed significant midcentral-focused mu ERD with beta ERS patterns during imaginary standing up in healthy participates.
