Abstract

This paper addresses a novel distributed ellipsoidal estimation with the event-based mechanism and the incomplete information scheme for a class of discrete time-varying system under unknown-but-bounded noises. In this paper, an event-based mechanism is designed to transmit only the necessary data in order to reduce the transmission frequency of the communication network, and an incomplete information transmission scheme is introduced to further reduce the flow of the transmitted information by releasing only parts of the data packet to the communication network at each event-triggered instant. Under such circumstances, two convex optimization approaches are provided to derive the conditions on the existence of local and global ellipsoidal estimations respectively and to produce the estimated ellipsoidal sets. Simulation results demonstrate the feasibility and the effectiveness of the proposed methods.
