Abstract

This paper investigates the event-based robust H∞ filter design problem for a class of nonlinear systems described by affine fuzzy models. Different from the existing results, an event-triggered scheme is introduced to reduce the burden of the communication by judging whether the data transmitted condition is satisfied or not. Under this scheme, the premise variables of fuzzy model and filter to be designed are unsynchronized, which will lead to the plant and the filter cannot always evolve in the same region at the same time. To solve this problem, a novel fuzzy-basis-dependent nonsynchronized H∞ filter is proposed by using the piecewise quadratic Lyapunov functions and the S-procedure technique. Finally, a numerical example illustrates the effectiveness of the proposed method.
