Abstract
An active double-balanced even harmonic mixer implemented in a 0.35-/spl mu/m SiGe BiCMOS process is described. The effect of local oscillator wave shape and duty cycle on conversion gain are examined. Measured data for an even harmonic mixer is compared to a conventional Gilbert cell mixer and applications to the front-end of a direct conversion receiver are described.
