Abstract

Two years ago saw the first presentation by AFT Atlas Fahrzeugtechnik GmbH of their prototype electromotive system for the phasing of variable camshafts (Electromotive Variable Camshaft Phasing: EVCP) [1]. Together with the INA-Schaeffler Group, the EVCP system has since been further developed with regard to all system components and can now be deemed not only as a proven A-sample, but also as a solid foundation for series development.
