Abstract

The research aims to identify the reality of environmental management in hospitals in the State of Kuwait by surveying the views and views of the administrative leaders in this health sector. As well as to assess the extent of knowledge and ability to implement environmental management with the objectives and advantages of this application. Is ready to teach all stages of study at all stages, The present study relied on the descriptive approach to suit the nature of the study, enabling the researchers to describe and diagnose the actual reality, and try to analyze this reality, and to show the strengths and weaknesses. The researcher also relied on the inductive method in preparing the theoretical framework for the study, and formulating the problem and hypotheses of the study by extrapolating as much as possible from the Arab and foreign scientific references specialized in the field of environmental management systems, and the overall quality in hospitals and health services. The sample of the study consisted of (90) employees, leaders and officials of Kuwait's hospitals through three hospitals(Jahra hospital in general),Al-Mowasat Al-Jadida hospital (special),Jaber Al-Ahmad Armed Forces Hospital(military)), A 42- question survey was conducted to assess the role of environmental management in hospitals in the light of achieving the overall quality by answering it (yes /no). The study was conducted for the period 2013 to 2016. The most important results of the study were that there were significant differences between the center that applied the response with (yes) and the center where the response was (no) where the significance was (0.001) which is a significant value at (0.01) Environmental management and improvement plans in the light of overall quality.
