Abstract

SUMMARY Growth and biomass production in 13 provenances of Gliricidia sepium were compared with the local landrace using a randomised complete block design. OFI provenances 14/84, 17/84 and 24/86 introduced from Guatemala and Colombia were found to be genetically superior and exhibit wide ecological adaptability compared to the local landrace.
