Abstract
X-ray fluorescence analysis of Rb and Sr in five rock standards, using computed mass absorption corrections, agrees satisfactorily with mass spectrometer results. Comparable agreement is found by averaging Rb and Sr values obtained with matrix corrections based on the reciprocals of Compton scatter and background intensity.
