Abstract
The objective of the study is test the principal Tcomponent analysis to obtain the comprehensive in dicator for evaluating the water environment with use of LANDSAT MSS digital data.From the results of the analysis, much more detail information concerning the water environment can be obtained by the linear combinations of four bands, that by the single band of MSS 4 or MSS 5 band. This is because the digital data of the bend of MSS 6, and even MSS 7 make a good deal of contribution to the water invironment.
