Abstract

Objective: The management of hemorrhage in blunt trauma remains a difficulty. A new prototype high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) system employing solid cone coupling, water cooling, and transducer-resonant tracking was evaluated in treating injured pig livers and spleens.
