Abstract

(Int J Obstet Anesth. 2023;53:103623) Pregnancy-induced changes in airway anatomy and physiology can make airway management more difficult in this population. Clinical airway assessment parameters are used to predict difficult airways; however, literature evaluating ultrasound (US) airway parameters in pregnant patients compared with nonpregnant patients is limited. This study aimed to evaluate and compare US airway assessment parameters in pregnant and non‐pregnant women. This study also investigated the associations between established difficult airway predictors and US parameters in the two groups.
